OK. So, when you look at the image on the left, it’s obvious that this book is probably not going to be about surfing. But hey, I was on my Kindle looking for a surf-related book and this was the only one I hadn’t read (no cover image for me to review either). It was aggressively priced at $1.99 (yet another clue to the book’s quality) so I figured what did I have to lose? I started reading the book and after about 3 pages I knew I had purchased something that was not going to be about surfing. Candidly, this book makes my adolescent stolen moments reading The Happy Hooker or Penthouse Forum look like bible class. If you like poorly composed titillating stories, then this book’s for you. The main character blows off (poor choice of words) a surf session to go get a new wetsuit where he is ravaged by a horny widow. From there the story just descends further into explicit detail describing the couple’s sexual adventures. If you have a good sense of humor and some liberal values, this book is pretty funny, but at $1.99 it might be a bit overpriced. (January 2011)
